Creating great Peruvian cuisine is no easy task, what Casa Valerio has to offer is a great amount of experience. After years of creating restaurants from nothing, it’s head chef “Omar Sinchi” knows what it takes to create the right food and atmosphere for his clients.
This rendition of the Peruvian restaurant was made with Chileans in mind. For you, what that means is less spicy food and more stylish savory dishes.
We start things off with a “Ceviche Mixto”, just a little kick in spice and the proper acidity brings this ceviche together nicely. The cool helpings of reinete, octopus, luco, shrimp, and calamari are what form this ceviche into a greedy app.
The “Causa Empanizada” is an excellent rendition of a Peruvian fried potato puré with shrimp and an exotic yellow pepper sauce. This is a soft and stylish dish, perfect for sharing.

The “Pulpo a la Parrilla” is a huge serving of fatty octopus cooked with fresh veggies in a hot iron skillet. What a unique smokey dish! The combination of a red pepper sauce with veggies and the big octopus creates intense memorable flavors, this is definitely a plate I recommend.
Lets continue with a pleasing classic “Fettuccine Saltado.” Loin cuts of medium rare steak are seared with onions and tomato, served next to a creamy cheesy fettuccine a la huancaína. The key to this dish is the mixture of sauces and of course the tender steak.
Lastly we have the “Salmon a la Plancha”, a crispy salmon steak with a sweet and savory sauce reminiscent of the Chinese variant. Seated below is a unique avocado risotto, with just the right mix of cheese and avocado sauce, certainly a filling dish that combines interesting flavors in a very “fusion” sort of way.
At Casa Valerio, be sure to expect great Peruvian cuisine. This is a big somewhat upscale restaurant with Chinese and Peruvian stylings. The food is delicious and colorful, but picky travelers should order the right thing. If you enjoy an adventure or two, then add this to your list.
